Somewhere Hotel ("we", "us", "our") provides wellness and spa booking services through the Somewhere Hotel mobile app. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and your choices.

1. Data We Collect

• Account and profile data: first name, last name, email address, phone number, and password credentials.
• Booking and service data: booked services, appointment date/time, assigned therapist, booking notes, and booking status.
• Payment-related data: payment method and payment status. When online payments are used, payment processing is handled by payment providers.
• Communication data: messages and notifications sent by app, email, and WhatsApp for booking confirmations, reminders, and support.
• Device/app data: push notification token, app identifiers, and technical logs needed for app security, diagnostics, and service reliability.

2. How We Use Data

• Create and manage user accounts.
• Process bookings, scheduling, and service delivery.
• Send transactional notifications (for example booking confirmations, reminders, and updates).
• Process payments and prevent fraud/abuse.
• Maintain, secure, and improve the app and backend services.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

3. Data Sharing

We may share limited data with service providers that help us operate the app, such as:

• Payment processors for payment transactions.
• Messaging providers (for example email and WhatsApp) to send service notifications.
• Push notification infrastructure to deliver mobile notifications.
• Hosting/database providers to run and secure our platform.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for the following periods:

• Account and profile data — retained for the lifetime of your active account. If you request account deletion, your personal profile is removed within 30 days.
• Booking and transaction records — retained for 7 years after the booking date to comply with applicable tax and financial regulations (Saudi Arabia VAT/tax law), after which they are anonymized or deleted.
• Push notification tokens — deleted immediately when you delete your account, uninstall the app, or revoke notification permission.
• OTP / verification codes — expire after 10 minutes and are deleted after use or expiry.
• Support and communication logs — retained for up to 2 years for dispute resolution and service improvement, then deleted.

When no longer required, data is securely deleted or irreversibly anonymized.

5. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we continuously work to protect your information.

6. Children

The app is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate action.

7. Your Rights and Choices

• You may request access to or correction of your personal data by contacting us at [email protected].
• You may opt out of non-essential communications where available.
• You may disable push notifications in your device settings.

8. How to Delete Your Data

You can request deletion of your account and personal data at any time using one of the following methods:

• Via the web form — visit https://somewhere-app.coding4u-eg.com/account-deletion, verify your identity with a one-time code, and submit a deletion request.
• Via email — send a deletion request to [email protected] from the email address associated with your account.

Once a valid request is received, we will delete or anonymize your personal account data within 30 days. Booking and transaction records required by law (see Section 4) are anonymized rather than deleted to meet legal retention obligations. You will receive a confirmation email or WhatsApp message once the deletion is complete.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the latest version at this page and update the effective date.
